Research Officer (Discipline of Nursing)

- Remuneration: $103k - $110k base prorated (+17% superannuation, leave loading)

UNSW Discipline of Nursing
The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is establishing a Discipline of Nursing within the School of Population Health. The first nursing program to be developed is the Graduate Entry Master of Nursing Program, that will commence in 2028.
The Opportunity
This position play a key role in supporting research projects as part of a multidisciplinary team of researchers in the field of nursing by providing technical and research assistance to senior research staff in activities associated with various research projects, including the contribution and application of knowledge in the field of access to care for priority populations to a range of projects conducted within the School of Population Health.
Key skills and experience required:
- A university degree in nursing or related discipline, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training or experience.
- Completion of a research degree (desirable) e.g. Honors, MPhil, PhD
- Knowledge of research protocols, experimental design and planning as involved in developing research projects and reporting against milestones.
- Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including NVivo, Xcel.
- Named author on peer reviewed publications (desirable).
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal communication skills to initiate and maintain effective stakeholder relationships whilst exercising discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
