  • Remuneration: Level 5 $88,717 - $100,386 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
  • Location: UNSW Kensington Campus, NSW (hybrid)

Why Your Role Matters:

As a Payroll Compliance Coordinator, you play a vital role in ensuring payroll accuracy, integrity, and compliance across the organisation. Your work directly supports fair and compliant payroll practices by contributing to audits, resolving payroll matters, and maintaining high data standards. Working closely with the Payroll Compliance Team Leader, you help safeguard compliance with Australian legislation, Enterprise Agreements, and internal policies while supporting continuous improvement in payroll processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pre- and post-payroll audits, identifying compliance issues and providing feedback.
  • Assist in correcting payroll inaccuracies and escalate complex matters as required.
  • Apply relevant legislation, Enterprise Agreements, and internal policies accurately.
  • Maintain accurate employee data in line with approved standards.
  • Respond to payroll enquiries, resolving standard matters and escalating when needed.
  • Contribute to payroll system and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support effective payroll operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and tax obligations.

Who You Are:

You are a detail-focused payroll professional with strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance practices. You communicate clearly and provide excellent customer service to stakeholders at all levels.

You bring:

  • Extensive experience in Australian Payroll.
  • Exposure to payroll remediation programs or environments governed by complex Enterprise Agreements is highly regarded.
  • Ability to analyse payroll data to identify discrepancies, perform reconciliations, and validate calculation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and advance Excel skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in PeopleSoft or Oracle Payroll/HRIS preferable.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
