Why Your Role Matters  

The Systems Administrator plays a key role in supporting the enterprise systems that underpin education delivery and employability outcomes across the University. Working within the Enterprise Systems and Planning team in the Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience Portfolio, you will provide technical and operational support to ensure the student placement system is reliable, data is accurate, and users are well supported. 

Reporting to the Lead, Enterprise Systems and Planning, this role focuses on day-to-day system administration, issue resolution, configuration, and data management. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and IT partners to resolve system issues, support data migrations, and provide specialist advice on placement management systems and associated processes. Your contribution directly supports efficient operations and positive experiences for students, staff, and external partners. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Providing technical and system support, including troubleshooting user issues  

  • Configuring systems based on business requirements from multiple stakeholders 

  • Supporting and monitoring data migrations from systems (e.g. Moodle) 

  • Providing specialist advice on placement management system processes and guidelines 

  • Responding to enquiries and resolving or escalating issues as required 

  • Maintaining documentation, improving administrative processes, and supporting operational activities and projects 

About you 

You are a detail-oriented professional and you enjoy problem-solving, working with enterprise systems, and supporting stakeholders in a collaborative, service-focused environment. You will also bring: 

  • Previous experience with supporting the day-to-day operation of enterprise systems. Ideally, you’d have experience with university student placement systems i.e. InPlace or Sonia  

  • Experience with systems including troubleshooting, configuration changes etc. 

  • Previous experience or exposure to Work Integrated Learning processes and function would be highly advantageous  

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines 

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team in a customer-focused environment 

We currently have two roles available: one Full Time permanent and one Full Time Fixed Term parental leave role until May 2027 with hybrid and flexible working arrangements, Monday to Friday.
