  • Duration: 1 x Continuing Role & 1 x Contract until 30 January 2027
  • Remuneration: Level 5 from $88,717 - $100,386 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
  • Location: UNSW Kensington Campus, NSW (hybrid)

Why Your Role Matters

As a Finance Support Services Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the financial integrity and operational effectiveness of UNSW. Working within Operational Finance, you’ll deliver high-quality transactional and financial administration services to Faculties and Divisions, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strong customer service.

Operational Finance supports core finance systems, process improvement, and transactional services across the University. This role is key to maintaining efficient, standardised processes that enable sound financial management and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of financial administration tasks, including raising purchase orders, billing, receipting, journals, month-end activities, and routine reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with financial controls, policies, and funding guidelines.
  • Provide professional advice and support to customers on purchasing processes, policies, and systems.
  • Deliver responsive, high-quality customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively across Finance teams.

Who You Are

  • Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (progress toward CA/CPA desirable).
  • Experienced in high-volume purchase-to-pay or transactional finance within a large and complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial controls and policy application.
  • Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experienced in enterprise financial systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Concur).
