The Opportunity

  • Continuing position  
  • $127K - $143K + 17% Super and Leave Loading

As the Senior Injury Management Advisor, you will provide expert frontline support for injury management and oversight of workers’ compensation claims and processes across the organisation.

This role is responsible for early intervention, case management, and compliance, ensuring timely and effective coordination of return-to-work programs and claims processes. Reporting to the Head of Health & Wellbeing, the position works closely with People & Culture, business leaders, and external providers, including our third-party claims provider in a self-insured environment, to deliver high-quality outcomes for injured workers while supporting organisational objectives. The role also supports implementation of the Health & Wellbeing Framework, ensuring integration of injury management practices with broader wellbeing initiatives.

Who you are

  • Substantial experience managing workers compensation and injury management in a complex organisation with a background in claims and injury management, allied health, or similar.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification with substantial relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative requirements and compliance obligations for injury management and claims, particularly in a self-insured environment.
  • A strong understanding of risk management methodology and the application of this in the workplace
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex case management and early intervention and response strategies.
  • Data literacy, experience analysing and using datasets, and ability to interpret insights to drive improvements.
  • A strong customer focus with a record of working in cross-functional environments to ensure safe operational outcomes.
  • Ability to coordinate and monitor third-party providers, ensuring quality and timely service delivery.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Ability to work within a program management environment to deliver transformational health and wellbeing projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
