The Opportunity

The Executive Assistant to the Head of School provides effective and efficient executive-level administrative support and office management services to the Head of School and other senior staff as required; and is responsible for facilitating effective communication between the Office of the Head of School and internal and external stakeholders, and for always maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. The position is the first point of contact for the School office and is responsible for all aspects of the office management to maintain the administrative systems of the School. As a member of the General Administration Team of the Faculty, this position support activities as required within the Schools and Dean’s Unit. The role of Executive Assistant reports to the School Manager with a dotted reporting line to the Head of School and has no direct reports.

  • Salary Level 6: $103,866 - $110,801 + 17% Super.
  • Full time, Fixed Term to 31st December 2026
  • Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia
  • The successful candidate is required to be on campus minimum 3 days per week.

Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • High level organisational skills with proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy, working with a range of computer systems and applications.
  • Superior time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • Proven organisational skills and the ability to operate autonomously while demonstrating strong initiative and a proactive approach to driving process improvement.
