About the Opportunity: 
Join a collaborative team of professionals passionate about providing excellent customer service across the delivery of our casual recruitment administration processes. As an Officer in the Casual Administrative Team, you’ll support our divisions & faculties across the casual hiring process for both academics and professionals.  

Reporting to the Casual Workforce Manager, Officers support the operational needs of diverse client groups while building strong professional relationships by developing an understanding of the unique dynamics of each casual workforce area. Bringing the ability set priorities and manage workflow in a high-volume environment, you’ll ensure a tailored, efficient, and responsive casual recruitment experience for our staff. 

Your day to day will include: 

  • Coordinating administrative support for the casual academic and professional recruitment process, working closely with Faculty and Division hiring managers across UNSW. 
  • As first point of contact you will act as the subject matter expert in the administration of the casual hiring process. 
  • Bringing a keen attention to detail to undertake data entry and processing of employment documents. 
  • Reviewing casual offers ensuring compliance requirements are met, including reference and background checks.
  • Monitoring and maintaining diverse casual talent pools & application forms as required. 
  • Providing high quality customer service to ensure an efficient and positive experience for candidates and Hiring Managers. 

 
Who you are: 
We are looking for a detail-orientated and attentive individual with previous administration experience. As a strong communicator, you will be confident in building working relationships and delivering high-level service to stakeholders within a large complex environment. As an enthusiastic and motivated admin professional, you’ll fit well into our supportive team bringing the ability to work quickly and accurately whilst inputting high volume of data in this fast-paced and dynamic environment. 

Skills & Experience: 

  • Previous experience working in an administration capacity within a complex and demanding environment. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent client service with the ability to set priorities and effectively work independently and as part of a team environment.
  • Ability to draft and prepare documentation with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage workflow independently for a high-volume workload.
  • Ability to use judgment and discretion and seek advice and assistance from senior/ specialist staff as required.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders  
  • Demonstrated skills in using office software including email, word processing, spreadsheets and experience in using computerised HR systems, including data review and general reporting.
