The UNSW ADA Short Courses Portfolio – Education Excellence is seeking experienced and passionate school educators to join our team as Casual Gifted Education Facilitators. This role supports the delivery and continuous improvement of high-quality professional learning and student enrichment programs across a range of online synchronous and face-to-face settings.

We are looking for educators with strong knowledge of gifted education, curriculum differentiation, and student engagement who are committed to support the development of teacher educators and the enrichment learning experiences for gifted and twice-exceptional (2E) learners.

About the Role

The Gifted Education Facilitator (Level 6) delivers high-quality facilitation of gifted education short courses and student programs developed by the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture, ensuring engaging participant experiences and alignment with program objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate pre-designed professional development workshops and student programs (online and in-person), presenting content clearly and accurately using adult learning and gifted education principles.
  • Use knowledge of curriculum engagement and differentiation to assess and coach facilitators in quality program delivery.
  • Support gifted and 2E students in achieving learning outcomes across GERRIC Student Programs.
  • Moderate and manage online learning spaces, including Zoom breakout rooms and LMS discussion forums.
  • Support participant engagement through discussions, collaborative activities, and reflective learning experiences.
  • Provide constructive feedback on participant learning tasks and activities within established guidelines.
  • Collaborate on the creation and development of new programs under the direction of senior academic staff and the Senior Project Officer – Education.
  • Support broader student program initiatives, including volunteer recruitment and training, scholarships, and related program activities.
  • Assist with session preparation, administration, and post-session follow-up as directed.
  • Implement feedback from program leaders and participants to continuously improve facilitation practice.
  • Comply with all University health and safety policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in education, teaching, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching gifted students and/or coordinating gifted education programs.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum differentiation and engagement strategies for gifted and 2E learners.
  • Experience delivering gifted-focused training or educational programs in both online and face-to-face environments.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Pre-employment Requirements

The successful applicant will be required to hold:

  • A valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
