  • Remuneration: Level 7 $113,926 - $123,302 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
  • Location: UNSW Kensington Campus, NSW (hybrid)

Why Your Role Matters:

The Student & Stakeholder Communications team supports the Division of Education and Student Experience by delivering clear, timely and targeted communications to academic and professional staff. As the Stakeholder Communications Coordinator, you will create engaging content across multiple channels, helping staff stay informed about key initiatives and opportunities that enhance teaching and the student experience. You will report to the Manager, Student & Stakeholder Communications and supervise up to two direct reports, as well as casual staff or interns when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise and support Communications Officers, ensuring effective workflow, best practice and development opportunities.
  • Deliver high-quality, customer-focused communications and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Implement communications plans and identify ways to improve content effectiveness.
  • Provide research, advice and best-practice guidance to stakeholders across the University.
  • Collaborate with faculties and divisions to support initiatives, issues and opportunities requiring communication.
  • Maintain communication tools, documentation and user guides for the team.
  • Use data and feedback to enhance communication content and channels.
  • Organise stakeholder feedback activities, including focus groups.
  • Ensure appropriate governance and use of systems such as Insight CRM, SiMS and email platforms.
  • Develop and update web content with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Produce reports for senior managers and support campaign evaluation.
  • Champion UNSW’s brand, tone of voice and commitment to the student experience.

Who You Are:

You have:

  • A relevant degree or equivalent knowledge and experience, ideally within Higher Education. Professional qualifications in communications or a related field are desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering communications and engagement through a range of channels.
  • A strong understanding of target audiences and expertise in writing high-impact messages for internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing tailored content for diverse audiences.
  • Advanced computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, CRM systems and digital content production tools, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in using and analysing communications and engagement data to inform decision-making.
