Why your role matters
As the Education Quality Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery and enhancement of education quality processes across the Faculty of Law & Justice. This position provides high-level administrative and project support, including practical and analytical contributions to the Academic Calendar Transition Project, with a particular focus on externally accredited programs.
In this role, you will help implement the Faculty’s education strategy by supporting accreditation, quality assurance, curriculum review, and compliance with both University and external regulatory requirements. You’ll work closely with academic and professional colleagues to ensure accurate data management, timely reporting, and effective coordination of initiatives that improve the student experience and uphold academic standards.
Reporting to the Education Design & Quality Manager, this position does not have direct reports.
Accountabilities
- Provide effective coordination and support for education quality activities, including program and course reviews, accreditation processes, and quality assurance reporting.
- Providing practical and analytical project support for the Academic Calendar Transition initiatives, with a focus on externally accredited programs.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking compliance with University policies, regulatory standards, and education quality frameworks.
- Prepare high-quality documentation, briefing notes, reports, and data summaries for committees, accreditation bodies, and leadership.
- Maintain and analyse education quality data, ensuring accuracy and integrity in records management systems.
- Support curriculum management processes, including the preparation of documentation for program/course approvals and amendments.
- Coordinate logistics, documentation, and follow-up actions for committees, working groups, and faculty meetings relating to education quality.
- Provide proactive support and advice to academic and professional staff regarding education quality processes, timelines, and requirements.
- Contribute to projects that improve education quality systems, processes, and student outcomes.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across the faculty, central divisions, and external partners.
- Perform other duties as required by the EDQ manager and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the work unit.
Skills & Experience

- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Understanding of faculty-based teaching and learning processes in a large and complex educational institution and an interest in or knowledge of digital technologies in an educational setting.
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate projects and tasks, work well under pressure, and manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
- Highly developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to influence and guide staff at all levels of seniority.
- High-level computer literacy, including advanced Microsoft Office skills, together with strong numeracy and the ability to interpret and communicate financial information and monitor budgets.
