The Trailblazer for Recycling and Clean Energy (TRaCE) was awarded to the University of New South Wales (UNSW) and the University of Newcastle (UoN) to boost research and development and drive commercialisation outcomes with industry.
As part of the TRaCE team and in close collaboration with the R&D Portfolio Commercial Lead, Chief Investigators, and UNSW shared services, you will be responsible for hands-on management of academic research project contracts to ensure compliance with time, cost, and scope requirements, as well as reporting obligations, invoicing, and ad-hoc information requests to help deliver a smooth and positive experience for industry partners.
Reporting to the Senior Research & Development Portfolio Manager, this role will suit an individual with a demonstrated ability to develop and manage contracts effectively, including defining scope and costs, managing progress claims, approving invoices, negotiating contract variations, resolving disputes, and achieving strong commercial outcomes.

- Demonstrated ability to monitor, report, and ensure compliance with project milestones and budgets.
- Experience in liaising with industry partners and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
