About the Team

The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team within the School of Education supports the development of faculty initiatives that enhance student engagement and ensure work-readiness. The team manages the placement cycle and oversees the professional experience components required as part of students’ coursework, in consultation with the UNSW Professional Experience Director.

 

Why Your Role Matters

As the WIL Administrator (Education), you will play a key role in coordinating and managing the end-to-end placement allocation process for Teacher Education Students (TES). You will ensure placements meet UNSW course and program requirements, as well as accreditation standards set by NESA and the NSW Department of Education. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, data management, and administrative support within a collaborative team environment.

 

Responsibilities in this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Coordinate and manage placement allocations, including sourcing schools, matching students, and communicating placement details.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and stakeholders to support long-term engagement.
  • Provide professional and responsive communication to students, schools, and internal stakeholders throughout the placement cycle.
  • Support the WIL Education team with proactive and efficient administration, collaborating closely with colleagues and leadership.
  • Triage and respond to placement-related queries and escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain accurate data across systems for placement tracking, auditing, and reporting.

 

Who You Are:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience, ideally within the NSW school sector.
  • Experience in customer-focused environments with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with discretion in handling confidential matters.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills with a proactive approach to service improvement.
  • Experience coordinating projects and working with diverse stakeholders.
