Why Your Role Matters:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide essential administrative support to the International Student Compliance team. Reporting directly to the Manager of International Student Compliance, this role is vital within the Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Student Experience portfolio.

This role involves proactive, practical, and efficient administrative assistance, focusing on core business processes within the ESOS framework for both enrolled and completing students. Responsibilities include maintaining databases and records, producing relevant reports, and responding to student queries. These activities are crucial in supporting the International Student Compliance Team, which assists international students in meeting their legislative requirements while studying at UNSW.

Who You Are:

  • Completion of a Diploma or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and experience. Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply knowledge of the ESOS Act (2000) and National Code 2018 is an advantage.
  • Sound interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures and a proven commitment to customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability using the Provider Registration and International Student Management System (PRISMS) and/or tertiary education student records systems.
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills, with proven ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work accurately and with attention to detail including the ability to provide accurate record keeping and reporting.
  • Proficient computing capabilities including competency with all Office 365 applications, in particular Outlook, Word, Excel, CRM, and competency with internet applications for researching and report preparation, statistics and other documents.
  • Ability to show initiative and an ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver high quality student support.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.

Pre employment checks are required for this position which includes a Working with Children Check.
