Why Your Role Matters:
The Clinical Campus Manager, South-West Sydney is responsible for the day-to-day operational management and strategic support of all aligned Clinical Campuses within the School of Clinical Medicine. This includes overseeing financial administration, human resources, physical infrastructure, student support services, and ensuring compliance with work health and safety regulations.
The role also plays a key part in supporting the strategic objectives of the Discipline of Medicine, particularly in relation to the delivery of Health 25 initiatives. The Clinical Campus Manager ensures the consistent implementation of Faculty-wide policies, procedures, and systems in alignment with UNSW’s broader strategic direction.
In addition, the role may serve as a representative of Clinical Campus Managers on relevant Faculty and Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct committees and stakeholder groups, contributing to effective communication, coordination, and alignment across the broader clinical education and research environment.
The role reports to the Senior Manager, School of Clinical Medicine.
Skills and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with extensive relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in people leadership, development and management, with the demonstrated skills to motivate inspire, and mobilize teams to create a positive workplace culture and deliver quality outcomes.
- Excellent consultation, influencing, communication, negotiation and networking to achieve outcomes, particularly in an environment where services are provided by a service provider or function, and with close external stakeholder organizations.
- Extensive operational management skills including planning, priority setting, and managing a high volume, process-driven administrative environment with variable workflows.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning and management and proven ability to interpret financial data to provide high quality advice.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven capacity to exercise initiative, flexibility and to be proactive in development of robust solutions to problems.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Advanced level of computer literacy, working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Microsoft Office 365 suite including Teams, One Drive, Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and using UNSW’s enterprise systems.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training
