Why The Role Matters:
This role involves both administrative and project work including project coordination, communication, administration, reporting and analytical support, and building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across the student experience portfolio. Within this portfolio this role focuses on global student experience (including, but not limited to international students, study abroad students, and Global students) but also supports the broader work of the team. This position is situated in a team-based environment where during peak times the sharing of roles and the collaborative support for the work of colleagues may occur. This role also supports students in the Bachelor of International Studies and coordinates, troubleshoots, and supports students before, during, and post their Overseas Studies program.

Student Experience:
- Support the planning, delivery, implementation and evaluation of Faculty projects and initiatives to achieve student experience strategic goals with a particular focus on international, study abroad, global diploma students and postgraduate cohorts.
- Provide practical and proactive project and administrative support to increase and support students’ global mobility and experience across the faculty through programs, communications, and initiatives.
- Develop and manage effective communications with key stakeholders, including current students, academic and professional staff.
- Monitor, track, and report on the status of student experience deliverables to ensure time, cost, and quality metrics are in line with approved plans for assigned initiatives.
- Liaise with relevant faculty, internal, and external units to ensure consistency and alignments of advice and approach for projects and initiatives.
- Support the retention and experience of the outgoing student cohort within the BIS program through student support, program review, data management, student recruitment activities and other duties as required.
Skills and Experience:

- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in a student-related function, with an understanding of courses, program progression and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Highly advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to apply, interpret, advise on and contribute to the development of policies, systems, procedures and guidelines.
- Sound stakeholder management skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, specifically students and academic staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
- Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to work across multiple systems and sources to consolidate information, whilst maintaining a high level of discretion with a strong commitment to confidentiality.
