Why Your Role Matters:

Logistics & Operations Project Officer is an identified role, as Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander.

This position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only.

The Project Officer (Logistics and Operations) will provide high level support of the logistics and supply chain for the Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) programs. Working closely with the program team, this position provides a key role in delivering a responsive and efficient service to the POCT clinics in remote and regional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia.

The role of Project Officer (Logistics and Operations) reports to the Senior Project Officer (Logistics and Operations) and has no direct reports

Who You Are:

  • Relevant degree and/or substantial relevant experience in logistics, operations or supply chain management (preferred). Experience in the health sector would be highly regarded. While the mentioned experience is desirable, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every criterion—we value diverse skills, perspectives, and a willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining systems to track stock, ordering, payments and records.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, with a proven aptitude for learning new software packages and leveraging them to improve efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to understand, track and communicate complex data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team but also take initiative and work independently to manage competing demands.
  • Highly developed time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to rapidly respond to changing priorities and deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives, and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
