The UNSW School of Education is a key player in the preparation of teachers and other education professionals in Australia and internationally. Our Initial Teacher Education programs focus on the nexus between theory, research, and professional practice, where students learn from world-class researchers and leading industry professionals. We deliver a range of undergraduate and postgraduate ITE programs, accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority, to prepare students to become teachers in primary schools and in a range of subject areas in secondary schools. We also offer a range of postgraduate coursework and research programs at Graduate Certificate, Master’s, and Doctoral levels for teachers and other education industry professionals.
The School of Education is seeking expressions of interest from qualified individuals for a range of casual teaching opportunities in 2025/2026 courses.

Preparing teaching materials, delivering lectures, seminars and/ or tutorials, and assessing student learning.

Working as a member of a team to ensure the consistent implementation of discipline-specific curriculum and pedagogy units in the School.

Effective contribution to the collaborative teaching culture of the School and Faculty.

Effective engagement with broader educational community.

Compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures of the university and care to ensure that actions or omissions do not negatively impact on health and safety.
You will need:
- A postgraduate degree in Education at the level above that of the position you are submitting your EOI. (demonstration of equivalent experience will also be considered).

Demonstrated potential to teach undergraduate or postgraduate Initial Teacher Education or Masters level students.

Demonstrated capacity to interact successfully with the broader education community.

Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.

We are recruiting lectures, tutors and markers throughout 2025/2026 for courses in both our undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
The EOI portal will allow you to select which courses you would like to teach and the extent of your qualifications and experience so we can better assess your suitability and potentially meet your need for flexibility.
