Why your role matters

We are seeking a Program Audit Analyst to support and configure the university’s progression checker and study planner solution, myPlan. myPlan is a key tool used by both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students to plan their studies and track their progress toward degree completion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships and liaising with a variety of stakeholders across the University to ensure that program requirements are accurately captured and maintained in myPlan, in alignment with academic and regulatory standards. The role will work closely with the Academic Offerings team, the Student Hub, and Faculty program authorities to ensure that all aspects of a student’s program requirements and transitional arrangements are accurately reflected in the system, ensuring the progression information is complete and precise.

This role will report to the Manager, Timetabling, within the Student Lifecycle Unit, and does not involve direct reports.

Specific accountabilities for this role include:  

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the functionality and capabilities of the myPlan system and how it can be utilised to capture and express UNSW program requirements.
  • Configuration and validation of UNSW programs, specialisations and transition arrangements in the myPlan application.
  • Monitoring new program proposals using Program Audit Assembler tool (PAA) and ensuring they can be configured in myPlan.

About You:    

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and substantial experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience with interpreting and applying curriculum rules to support student progression in a tertiary institution.
  • Experience with configuring or using systems that enable automated progression checking would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide creative and innovative solutions to problems, analyse and improve systems and processes to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • A demonstrated high level of attention to detail, including in the development, interpretation and application of policy and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced and demanding environment and deliver quality work against competing priorities and demands.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
