The Student Industry Engagement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in leading and supporting initiatives within the Student Industry portfolio. This position focuses on fostering connections between students and industry to enhance the student experience, including initiatives that contribute to the goals of the Women in Engineering (WIE) program.
Accountabilities:

- Coordinate and support the implementation of industry engagement strategies and initiatives to enhance student connectivity with industry partners.
- Build and maintain industry contacts to support engagement efforts.
- Organise industry-aligned events, workshops, and outreach programs to showcase engineering pathways to diverse audiences, including initiatives that align with Women in Engineering (WIE) objectives.
- Promote engagement activities through social media and other communication channels.
- Identify opportunities to engage alumni and industry professionals in outreach and student engagement programs.
- Execute communication strategies, including social media content and website updates.
- Lead support for industry partnerships, including record-keeping and database management.
- Represent UNSW Engineering at relevant forums and events.
- Collect and analyse data to evaluate the impact of engagement initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of reports to demonstrate outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate industry scholarship panels and facilitating ongoing engagement between industry partners and students.
- Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives across the Student Industry portfolio as required.
Skills and Experience:
To be considered you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

- Relevant degree and experience or equivalent competency gained through another combination of education, training and experience.
- Strong engagement and stakeholder management skills including the ability to establish long-term relationships with an organisation, alumni, prospects, or donors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage programs focused on specific outcomes that engage multiple stakeholders in either the public or private sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in promotional, event management and engagement work.
- Excellent time management and organisation skills, with the ability to navigate through competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship management of diverse stakeholder groups with a strong track record in delivery of successful outcomes.
- Superior communication skills, including demonstrated ability to write content for mass communication and effectively deliver public presentations.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skill and EDM management tools.
