Why Your Role Matters:
As Reward Lead, you will step into a newly created role designed to provide expert consulting services to HR Business Partnering teams and Senior Management. This position will lead the delivery of an effective and efficient client service that centralises the secondary position classification process for professional staff, aligned with our staff enterprise agreement. Your day to day will include:
- Providing expert and centralised advisory and training services for position classification and reclassification processes.
- Ensure consistency in job classification requests for position descriptions across the University, offering specialised guidance on role accountabilities and ensuring compliance with the Enterprise Agreement.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining a centralised job classification system to ensure a robust process that uplifts levels of efficiency, consistency and upholds governance.
- Designing a job level framework and building a database of standardised position descriptions for universal jobs across the University.
- Acting as a Reward subject matter expert, working collaboratively with HR Business Partnering teams on staff benchmarking requests.
- Supporting important remuneration-related projects across salary and bonus reviews.
- The Reward Lead reports to the Head of Remuneration and will have two direct reports.
Who you are: As a specialist across renumeration, you will hold substantial experience across HR/Remuneration process/ Employee Relations best practice. Confident in building sound working relationships, you’ll provide forward-thinking consultative advice across the design and implementation of processes that ensure consistency and governance across our classification system, alongside the following skills & experience:
- Proficiency in job evaluation methodology and associated systems.
- Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and application of EA conditions, legislation and policy documents.
- Extensive consultation, influencing and negotiation skills and proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven capacity to exercise initiative, flexibility and to be proactive in development of robust solutions to problems.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound judgement and the ability to exercise initiative, tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential matters.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Proven understanding of project management, with an in-depth understanding of the project life cycle and strategic development of project plans, objectives and documentation
