Why your role matters: We're seeking a Finance Business Analyst practiced in modelling scenario analysis to bring their expertise to a HR project stream focused on compliance and service optimisation. Working in a collaborative team of finance professionals, you’ll support financial management activities across the project to achieve operational and strategic goals and deadlines. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Development of financial modelling for compliance purposes, and scenario analysis and advice.
  • Delivery of financial management activities across:
    - planning
    - forecasting
    - reporting
    - analysis activities
  • Working collaboratively with your business area to create financial plans, report financial performance and monitor expenditure.
  • Investigating of variances to budget and forecasts.
  • Identifying, reporting and managing financial risks and opportunities
  • Cost benefit analysis activities in the development of business cases.
  • Providing guidance and support to stakeholders across financial processes and responsibilities.

The Finance Business Analyst position reports to the Finance Manager or Finance Lead for the client group and has no direct reports.

Skills and Experience summary: Holding substantial professional sector experience, you’ll be confident working independently across financial modelling and complex financial management and financial control processes You’ll bring the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant qualifications (CA or CPA qualification or equivalent).
  • Extensive working knowledge of analytical tools, in particular, a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and its application in financial modelling and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to absorb information and utilise it to analyse, interpret and integrate data.
  • Strong experience in core and complex financial management and financial control processes, insight driven analysis and modelling, providing accurate operational advice, and delivering financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to take a client-focused approach when analysing, interpreting and integrating large sets of data.
  • Highly developed audience appropriate communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Practiced experience in presenting and engaging with stakeholders to support strategic financial decision making.
