Your new role

In this role as a Financial Capability Worker, you will be responsible for helping individuals build long-term financial skills, including budgeting, money management, and making informed financial decisions.

You’ll provide one-on-one support, coaching, and financial literacy education to those experiencing financial hardship. The position requires confidence in working independently, strong communication abilities, and active collaboration with the NEFCP team and the Team Leader – Tenancy & Financial Support.

Your skills and experience
  • A minimum of a Certificate IV in Community Service Work, or equivalent (desirable)
  • Financial Literacy Education skillset (desirable)
  • Currently studying Diploma of Financial Counselling (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in administrative and or intake roles (desirable)
  • Experience in working with Financial Counselling team/organisation and/or clients (desirable)
