Your new role
Working in collaboration with the Intake Team, Program Leads and Youth AOD Support Workers, you will play a critical role in supporting young people to achieve alcohol and drug withdrawal. You will be responsible for writing scripts for young people within our Withdrawal and Rehabilitation programs, administering injections and prescribing opiate replacement therapy. As part of the role, occasional travel between our Ballarat and Traralgon sites may be required. Fleet vehicles are available for staff to book for work-related travel.
Your skills and experience
You will bring with you:
- Master of Nurse Practitioner qualification (or equivalent)
- Current AHPRA Registration
- DFFH Medication Provider Number and Medicare and PBS & MBS Approval
- Training to prescribe opioid substitution pharmacotherapy for opioid dependent clients
- Previous experience working with clients with problematic alcohol, drug or mental health issues
- Experience working alongside youth with a trauma informed lens
