About the opportunity

As the Communication Support Officer, you will support the development and implementation of the Communities for Children (CfC) Communication & Advocacy Plan for the CfC Hume Program.

In this role, you will prepare articles for and regularly update the CfC web portal, produce fliers, video-clips and regularly updates resource sheets for the program promotion, as well as presentation materials for various audiences. 

You will also be responsible for monitoring the consistency of the information for the funded projects’ use of collaterals with the CfC program requirements and provide program administration support.

About you

You are looking to join an organisation that truly supports vulnerable Victorians and Tasmanians to improve their lives.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Communication, Media, Developmental Journalism, community development or similar field.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in content development, social media/web layout and management. 
  • Experience in community development or community services setting (desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to use discretion with confidential information.
  • Prior experience in gathering data through different types of research.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, liaison and collaboration skills.
