The Opportunity
As Regional Manager Municipals, you will lead Cleanaway’s municipal operations across South East Queensland, with accountability for safety, service delivery, people leadership and commercial performance across six sites and a workforce of approximately 220 employees. Regular site presence and travel across the region is a core requirement of this role.
What you will be doing
• Leading and developing Branch Managers and leadership teams to deliver safe, compliant and high performing municipal operations
• Owning regional P&L performance, including budgets, forecasts, cost control and delivery of profit targets
• Driving safety leadership and regulatory compliance across all sites in line with Cleanaway’s HSEQ systems and lifesaving rules
• Optimising regional assets including fleet, plant, capital investment and construction to maximise service reliability and return on capital
• Building strong relationships with councils, regulators, customers and internal stakeholders to ensure contract performance and growth
About You
You are a senior operational leader with deep experience in asset intensive, regulated environments and a proven ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams.
• Multi site operational leadership experience within municipal services, waste management, transport logistics or industrial services
3PL/Contract Logistics experience operating large transport fleets under a customer contract
• Strong commercial capability with demonstrated accountability for regional P&L, budgeting and financial performance
• Proven knowledge of environmental, safety and regulatory compliance in a municipal or regulated operating environment
• Experience managing and optimising fleet, plant, capital works and operational assets at scale
• Ability to translate strategic objectives into disciplined operational execution across complex operations
