Logistics Coordinator

The Opportunity

The Logistics Coordinator manages day-to-day transport operations for our Silverwater site a part of the Health Services division. You will ensure the transport component of the business is operated most cost -effectively and efficiently. This role will also include.

  • Manage route optimisation, ensuring efficient use of resources
  • Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and operating procedures are followed and adhered too
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles and staff are compliant and all activities are aligned with Cleanaway’s policies and procedures
  • Manage GPS tracking systems and route sequencing to ensure optimum utilisation of fleet, identify and rectify faults
  • Verifying and meeting established deadlines through management
  • Coordinate daily schedules to support customer requirements and intercompany transfers of waste
  • Communicate the planning of fleet activities to all internal stakeholders to ensure plant operation is optimised and supported daily
  • Undertake any other duties, accountabilities and responsibilities as directed

 

 About You

You will have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, and pride yourself on your ability to deliver value to customers. Ideally, you will hold prior experience within the transport, logistics or waste sectors.  Operating in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, you will bring the following skills to the position

  • The ability to build solid working relationships with operation teams
  • Good understanding of Chain Of Responsibility Legislation (CoR)
  • Intermediate experience with the MS Office Suite of products
  • Knowledge and management of GPS tracking systems
  • Knowledge of Kronos, MyOsh & VRP an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills, together with solid negotiation skills
  • Ability to prioritise several tasks
  • Be reliable and willing to learn different systems and different runs
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
