Collaborate within a dedicated team in a unique environment as a Chefs, Cooks and Apprentices at Victoria Barracks (Sydney CBD). This role is suitable for candidates that enjoy bulk cooking with a passion for quality, flavour, and presentation. The Position:
• Multiple opportunities available for Chefs, Cooks, and Apprentices.
• Part-time roles – minimum 34 hours per fortnight, with weekend shifts and additional function hours included.
• Prepare high-quality meals across breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, and special events.
• Maintain catering standards, comply with OH&S and HACCP requirements, and focus on minimising waste.
• Support kitchen operations with stock control, receiving supplies, and monitoring cold room controls.
• Contribute to a positive team environment while delivering great customer experiences.
The Person:
• Chefs – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or working towards for Apprentices).
• Cooks and Apprentices – previous kitchen experience preferred, with a willingness to learn and grow.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a busy kitchen environment, either individually or as part of a team.
• Strong knowledge (or developing knowledge for apprentices) of HACCP, allergen management, and food safety.
• Passionate about food quality, with great attention to detail and presentation.
• Reliable, team-focused, and committed to personal and organisational success.
