ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.

Qualified Gardener - Fly In Fly Out Cairns or Darwin

Key duties

Your role and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and maintain golf course and associated grounds
  • Ensure the safe and correct operation of all machinery, equipment and work competently without direct supervision
  • Ensure machinery and associated equipment are cleaned, serviced and maintained as the maintenance checklists
  • Be confident in operating golf course machinery
  • You may be asked to work in other areas of the ESS camp, so the ability to be flexible and willing to learn is required.

To successful person will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Greenkeeping, Agriculture or Horticulture - ESSENTIAL
  • Extensive background in maintenance of Recreational Turf, Irrigation, Pest and Disease Control experience
  • AQF3 Chemical Accreditation Ticket
  • Competent with operation of Golf Course machinery
  • Have a clear and precise understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
  • Open Drivers Licence (Manual) is mandatory
  • Able to work independently and be a self-starter
  • Great problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
