The Senior Safety and Security Officer reports directly to the Safety and Security Duty Manager and offers an excellent opportunity to further your career as a valued member of the Security team, providing a positive and memorable guest experience.  This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for security.  
 
A few of your responsibilities   

• Support Safety & Security Management in the development and implementation of the business plans and the achievement of the Safety & Security department’s strategies.
• Ensure the Safety & Security Supervisor is kept aware of any incidents and potential problems.
• Participate where required in all pre/post shift briefings to assist with a smooth transition and handover between shifts, thereby avoiding interruption to or jeopardising the quality of service.
• Promote a positive working relationship between all employees within the department and assist with the resolution of grievances.
• Assist in monitoring and investigating all incidents and provide written reports on activities that have occurred within The Star Brisbane complex.

What we will be looking for 

• Previous Security experience within an integrated casino resort environment.
• Current First Aid and RSA Certificates.
• Current QLD Security License and Certificate II in Security Operations.
• Experience in report writing and basic computer skills.
