As our Senior Payroll System Analyst reporting to the Group Manager Payroll Operations, you will be responsible for configuration, maintenance and entire support of the SAP payroll system/ECP module by proactively using a testing environment, creating testing scenarios to ensure all aspects of payroll processes are covered (batch upload, leave absences and accrual impact, etc.).
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will lead the configuration of the payroll system and ensure high level of accuracy and legislative requirements are achieved.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Support payroll team as one of the main stakeholders, solving day to day payroll related BAU issues
- Conduct testing before going live of any new wage types and new configuration as per business requirements
- Support all types of projects related to payroll and execution of test cases for newly negotiated EAs before going live of those projects
- Support EOFY activity and Internal Payroll Audit activities
- Work collaboratively with the payroll system vendor Capgemini for ECP BAU issues and several projects for process and system improvements
- Proactively raise incidents with Capgemini in ServiceNow for any BAU system related issues
- Use Jira for recording testing outcome and providing feedback for improvements
What we are looking for:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, HR or IT
- 3-5 years of payroll and/or payroll system management experience required
- Advanced knowledge of SAP or other ERP, and Word/Excel
- Considerable experience in a large payroll environment (1,000+ employees) in both a Salaried and Award environment
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work within established processing timeframes and deadlines to complete tasks accurately, attention to detail essential
- Ability to analyse complex payroll situations and make recommendations
