Are you our next rising star? Continue your career with us as General Manager (GM) Internal Audit & Assurance (IAA) as 2IC to the Group Chief Audit Officer.

Some of your key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Key oversight role supporting the GCAO over the IAA team’s audit and assurance processes, competencies and proficiencies in accordance with the IAA Target Operating Model (TOM).
• Responsible for continuously foreseeing the need for changes and the introduction of further developments in IAA processes conducted by the IAA function for TSEG in line with better practice third line of defence models.
• Responsible for co-sharing leadership in audit assurance activity to support the effective management of risk across TSEG.
• The development and implementation of risk based internal audit plans to provide the BAC with assurance regarding the effectiveness of controls in place to manage The Star’s material business risks.
• Responsible for the accurate, relevant and timely reporting to the GLT, various TSEG Committees and the BAC regarding findings from internal audit reviews and on progress against completion of the annual internal audit plan and associated KPIs.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of a program of other assurance products to effectively support the management of material risks exposures, e.g. project Post Implementation Reviews (PIRs), Readiness Reviews, Advisory Reviews, etc.
• Develop relationships with expert external advisors in support of a partially co-sourced assurance model.
• Lead and deliver the end-to-end audit process, including planning, risk assessments, scoping, planning and execution of comprehensive data analytics, fieldwork, delivery of audit results and action closure in alignment with the annual plan

Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills & Attributes:

• Tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance or other commercial areas
• Relevant senior audit role in an ASX listed company or other public organisation of a similar scale.
• Member of the Institute of Internal Audit (IIA) or equivalent professional body.
