The Gaming Leadership Development Program Level 3 (GLDP 3) is an intensive up to 12-month leadership program, open to all Assistant Gaming Managers.

Throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to shadow and be supported by a current Gaming Manager, affording you exposure to all facets of Gaming Operations and associated departments. The program is complemented by involvement in projects relating to real business needs.

The program is divided into three segments, each designed to help you learn the responsibilities and competencies necessary to perform solo in the role of Gaming Manager.

Once deemed competent following the program, you will be:

  • ready to step into a Gaming Manager position (should one be available)

or

  • based on business needs, act in a HD capacity, assuming the associated leadership responsibilities of a Gaming Manager

About you

The successful candidate will:

  • be passionate about developing future leaders and building teams’ capabilities to deliver identified business targets.
  • possess well developed relationship building and team engagement skills.
  • have demonstrated Leadership Competencies that are aligned with that of a Gaming Manager.
  • have demonstrated the ability to drive cultural change and continued embedment of The Star’s PVP’s.
  • demonstrated experience in leading key initiatives focused on supporting The Star’s commitment to re-securing our license.
  • have demonstrated numerical and analytical problem-solving skills and ability to apply these to optimise business outcomes.
  • be a current Assistant Gaming Manager able to demonstrate a minimum of 12 months service in that role.

  • You will be required to upload your Cover Letter detailing why you should be the successful candidate for this opportunity and how your skills and experience make you well-suited for the role.
  • You must ensure you have gained an endorsement from your leader.
  • All rostering requests will be reviewed upon commencement of the program.
  • You will be rostered according to business needs and as per the programs structure.
  • You will be expected to give your full commitment to the program and undertake any reasonable request from your leaders that is aligned to the successful completion of the program.
  • Your total performance history will be taken into consideration when determining your suitability.
