As the Venue Manager for Casino Bars, you will be a pro-active and enthusiastic individual with expertise in beverage service. In this role you will be responsible for the day–to-day operation of these high-volume venues providing effective management of a dynamic team.  

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will showcase your leadership and venue management skills throughout our property at The Star Gold Coast. 

Please note, this is a 12-month secondment opportunity.

A few of your responsibilities: 

  • Manage the operational requirements of the venue and provide leadership and direction 
  • Lead the selection, training and development of team members to ensure timely recruitment and career growth 
  • Maintain a guest focus in all services, ensuring that guest service delivery is effective and efficient 
  • Assist with the development and implementation of business plans for the venues 
  • Implement strategies to increase repeat guests and positive guest experiences 
  • Communicate and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality service standards are maintained 
  • Ensure the department is compliant with policies, procedures - including Liquor Licensing, WH&S and Food Safety 

What are we looking for: 

  • Extensive Food & Beverage leadership experience with a thorough knowledge of bar service
  • Ability to identify and drive additional revenue & business opportunities 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests and team members
  • Strong stakeholder management experience, people leadership and team engagement skills 
  • Highly organised, accountable, and eager, with a high attention to detail 
  • Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol – RMLV/Approved Manager an advantage
