DC Team Lead – Afternoon Shift

The Role

Based at our Laverton, VIC Manufacturing facility, the DC Team Lead – Afternoon Shift is accountable for the safe, efficient and reliable execution of daily warehouse operations. You’ll oversee a motivated team, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service while driving performance across safety, quality, cost, delivery and team engagement.

The shift pattern for this role is Monday - Friday, 2.00pm - 10.00pm.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be the go-to for problem solving, labour planning, team development and embedding Asahi’s continuous improvement culture.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading your team to meet daily warehouse throughput and service targets

• Coaching, mentoring and developing team members to build capability

• Driving warehouse efficiency, labour planning and cost control

• Ensuring safety, quality and compliance standards are always met

• Championing Asahi Way problem-solving tools to resolve issues

• Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver seamless customer service

About You

You’re an experienced people leader who thrives in a fast-paced warehouse or FMCG environment. You bring a strong safety mindset, sharp problem-solving skills and the ability to get the best out of your team.

To be successful you’ll bring:

• Proven leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution environment

• Strong ability to coach, develop and motivate frontline teams

• Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office systems

• Experience applying structured continuous improvement frameworks

• Confidence in managing costs, labour planning and operational KPIs

• A positive, proactive and safety-first mindset
