The Opportunity
Monash University Library is seeking a collaborative and forward-thinking Librarian to join our Academic Services team. In this role, you will work within project teams, working with researchers, educators, and students to support Monash’s global research impact and enrich the student learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
Your time will be focussed across two primary areas of impact:
1. Research and Scholarly Impact support

Empower Researchers: Guide graduate students and faculty throughout the research lifecycle, advising on scholarly communication, open research practices, and research data management.

Maximise Visibility: Provide specialist, high-level advice that helps optimise the impact, reach, and visibility of Monash’s world-class research.
2. Education and Student Success Initiatives

Enhance coursework experience: Provide advice on readings, including support for adopting and adapting Open Educational Resources (OERs).

Deliver Dynamic Training: Deliver information and digital literacy workshops, and develop accessible online learning resources for students.

Your Qualifications

A degree in Librarianship, Information Management, or a related field (with subsequent experience); OR
-
An Advanced Diploma with relevant work experience; OR
-
An equivalent mix of experience, education, and training.

Higher Education Knowledge: A solid understanding of the research and education landscape within the tertiary sector.

Digital Capability: Proficiency in using modern tools and technologies to deliver digital content and learning programs.

Project and Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines effectively.

Collaboration and Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven track record of working constructively in team environments and building strong professional relationships.

Continuous Improvement: Experience utilizing data or feedback to review and streamline library services.
