The Opportunity
Support strategic operations at one of Monash's leading clinical schools.
The School of Translational Medicine (STM) is a key part of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, located at the Alfred Campus. STM is home to 16 departments and centres spanning biomedical and clinical research, education, and translational health innovation. We work closely with hospital partners and industry to improve health outcomes through research and education.
As Senior Operations and Planning Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the School Manager to deliver high-level operational support across STM. You’ll lead strategic initiatives, manage projects, and drive continuous improvement in a complex and dynamic environment.
Your role
- Contribute to strategic planning and operational delivery across STM
- Lead and manage key projects and initiatives aligned with school priorities
- Oversee compliance, reporting, and business improvement processes
- Provide expert advice and build strong partnerships across the Faculty and with external stakeholders particularly in our partner Health Services
- Supervise up to two staff and foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture
What you’ll bring
- Postgraduate qualifications or extensive relevant experience in health and medical research, operations or planning
- Experience in higher education and Health and Medical Research sectors and knowledge of the structure and operations of a university teaching and Research faculty/school/department in a hospital setting
- Strong project management, analytical and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to complex challenges
