The Opportunity
Monash University Library is seeking a Services and Spaces Team Leader (Knowledge Management and Training) to shape the future of Library frontline services across six vibrant campus libraries.
As a key member of our Services and Spaces leadership team, you’ll drive excellence in customer experience, lead a high-performing team, and champion innovative training and knowledge management practices. Your work will directly support student success, academic engagement, and a welcoming, inclusive environment for all Library users.
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead and mentor a team of 7–9 staff, fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous learning.
- Design and deliver impactful training programs that align with Monash’s values of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
- Manage knowledge systems that empower staff and enhance service delivery across physical and virtual touchpoints.
- Collaborate widely with Library and University stakeholders to innovate, improve, and promote our services.
- Contribute strategically to service design, data analysis, and operational planning in a fast-paced, user-focussed environment.
What you need for success:
- Proven leadership in a high-volume library or university service setting.
- Expertise in training, knowledge management, and user-centred service design.
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A commitment to inclusive practices and a passion for student success.
