The Opportunity

Are you an experienced leader with strong strategic planning capabilities, excellent administrative insight, and a passion for supporting research and teaching excellence? The School of Earth, Atmosphere & Environment is seeking a dedicated School Manager to join the leadership team.

As School Manager, you will:

  • Support the Head of School to deliver the School’s strategy and ensure seamless alignment with operations

  • Manage and oversee all governance and administrative functions including finance, human resources

  • Oversee the School’s operational budget, undertake strategic planning and implement and monitor a sustainable resource framework

  • Lead and implement change initiatives across the School by fostering inclusive consultation, ensuring strategies are aligned with educational objectives, and maintaining effective communication with staff and students throughout transitions

  • Provide leadership and direction to administrative, technical, and professional staff, ensuring high‑quality service delivery and effective support for all stakeholders

  • Provide advice to the Head of School and members of the School Executive, contributing strategic and operational insight to decision‑making at the highest level

As the successful candidate you will have experience in strategic leadership, preferably in a university or large, complex organisational environment and strong financial acumen, with experience overseeing budgets, resource allocation, and financial planning.
