The Opportunity
Join our team as Database Coordinator and play a pivotal role in the Eastern Health Clinical School’s National Addiction and Mental Health Surveillance Unit (NAMHSU). In this dynamic role, you will optimise the collection and management of ambulance data and help develop applications that visualise population-level insights, working closely with senior staff, external data custodians and colleagues across the organisation.
Working with the NAMHSU team, the Database Coordinator will manage data integration and migration, create user-friendly manuals and deliver training in both technical and lay terms. The role includes designing reliable database solutions, addressing usage issues, ensuring data security and accuracy and supporting report preparation, requiring a proactive approach and strong collaboration with diverse stakeholders to achieve timely outcomes.
We are seeking someone with a degree in a relevant field, along with excellent administration skills and a strong understanding of relational databases and data management. Proficiency with SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MS Access and experience in scripting and software development are important to success in the role.
This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise to meaningful projects that inform addiction and mental health research and policy. We encourage you to apply and contribute to a team that is shaping the way data drives improvements in health outcomes.
