The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Strategy, Projects and Portfolio Planning plays a pivotal role in progressing strategic and operational initiatives across the Chief Operating Officer (COO) portfolio. Acting as a key advisor and liaison point, the Senior Manager provides high-level support to the Chief of Staff and represents the COO’s interests across a range of internal and external governance and leadership forums.

Building strong partnerships with the COO Portfolio senior leadership team, senior stakeholders and functional expertise, the role ensures projects are aligned with the University’s strategic priorities. 

The Senior Manager will prepare high-quality papers, briefings and reports for senior leadership and University governance committees, and play an integral role in business planning, performance improvement and cultural development within the COO portfolio.

To be successful in this role you will have a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, supported by extensive experience in senior stakeholder engagement, strategic and operational planning in complex environments. You will bring outstanding analytical, interpersonal and organisational skills, with a proven ability to influence, negotiate and lead high-level initiatives. A strong understanding of university operations, governance structures and a commitment to excellence will be critical to your success.
