The Opportunity

Are you ready to grow your policy expertise and take on a new challenge? The Portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Policy Advisor. In this role, you’ll deepen your expert understanding of education policy, and help shape initiatives that make a real impact. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, contribute to policy development, and collaborate across teams to support key priorities in education.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide expert advice on a wide range of education policy matters
  • Act as a trusted liaison for policy stakeholders across the University 
  • Investigate, review and analyse complex policy issues with clarity and insight
  • Draft high-quality papers and submissions for University committees
  • Support the implementation of education policy through planning and communication activities

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • A strong understanding of how policy operates within a university context
  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Deep knowledge of the University as an organisation and the broader higher education landscape
