The Opportunity

Are you passionate about supporting graduate research and delivering high-impact programs? We’re looking for a dynamic Programs and Engagement Officer to provide high-level administrative and project support In the Monash Graduate Research Office. In this pivotal role, you’ll work in a high performing but small team to help drive the effective delivery of professional development for Graduate Research Students and Supervisors, plus have the opportunity to get involved in projects and events organised by the team for the Monash Doctoral Program.

You’ll be responsible for a range of administrative tasks that keep our operations running smoothly, with a particular focus on delivering core program requirements such as compliance training and professional development. You'll also play a key role in enhancing student experiences through support for activities including industry internships and student experience events such as the Three Minute Thesis competition. 

This role is effectively a combination of new project requirements and existing team responsibilities involving the administration of research and professional skills training, as we manage a transformation of doctoral training at Monash arising from a significant change in the direction of the Monash Doctoral Program

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you have excellent organisational and administration skills as well as great interpersonal skills. Experience in higher education, more specifically graduate research and research degree student administration will also be beneficial in this role.
