The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Academic Services and Analytics (Special Circumstances) to support the Director, Academic Services and Analytics in the delivery of the University's Special Circumstances strategy and operations. This includes managing the Special Circumstances function, providing a range of strategic and operational activities by interpreting and applying legislation and University regulations, policies and procedures, and exercising high-level judgement to support a number of compliance-related functions that have direct impact on the student experience. 

This role provides expert guidance on student-related matters including special consideration, remission of debt, withdrawn grades, academic progress, and Commonwealth Prac Payments (CPP). It ensures fair and timely assessment of applications due to exceptional circumstances and oversees system configuration and administrative operations supporting these processes. 

The position leads the Special Circumstances team, driving continuous improvement through policy review, system innovation, and data-informed decision making. It collaborates with faculties and central units to deliver high-level services aligned with university priorities, offering strategic and operational advice across a range of functions.
