The Opportunity

Join Monash Student Communities as a Senior Coordinator.

The Senior Monash Student Communities Coordinator acts as a constant and stabilising presence in the Monash Student Communities, overseeing the recruitment, training and mentoring of student leaders and managing stakeholder relationships both internal and external to the University.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for contributing to planning and operational committees to share knowledge and provide input into the planning of new Monash Student Communities programs and initiatives. Additionally, you will coordinate and oversee community development programs, including Monash Student Communities, ensuring effective care and support for students. Key responsibilities include leading projects, managing incidents, reporting outcomes, coordinating resources, and promoting an inclusive culture. The role also addresses cultural needs and supports access to counselling and skill-building opportunities.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role requires a degree qualification in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
