The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prospect Management and Research Adviser to join the Advancement team. In this pivotal role, you’ll help drive the University’s fundraising success by identifying and researching prospective major gift donors, and providing strategic insights that support meaningful donor engagement. Working closely with frontline fundraisers, your expertise will shape effective fundraising strategies and ensure a strong, well-managed donor pipeline.

As the Prospect Management and Research Adviser, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating potential donors through in-depth research, strategic analysis, and data-driven recommendations. You’ll synthesise complex information from diverse sources into clear, actionable profiles, reports and prospect lists. Collaborating with frontline fundraisers, you’ll guide portfolio and pipeline management and contribute to the development of effective solicitation strategies. You’ll also support the optimisation of our CRM (Salesforce), ensuring accurate and insightful data capture, while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of research processes and procedures.

About YOU!

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong intellectual curiosity and persistence in uncovering valuable insights, paired with a keen attention to detail. Your ability to assess the relevance of complex information, apply sound judgement, and communicate findings clearly will be essential. You’ll bring strong analytical skills, proficiency with relational databases and business software, and a discreet approach to handling confidential data—all while collaborating effectively within a small, dynamic team environment.
