The Opportunity
Monash University’s School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Research Officer to support the CONSEP Trial (CONn Syndrome Evaluation in Primary Care). This cluster-randomised study investigates whether electronic clinical decision support tools can improve the early detection of Primary Aldosteronism (PA) – a treatable cause of hypertension often missed in general practice.
Based in Melbourne, you’ll help coordinate the trial across participating general practices in Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania, including site liaison, recruitment, data management, and trial administration. You’ll work closely with our national project team, clinical partners, and investigators to ensure smooth delivery and high-quality outcomes.
About You
You are a motivated and organised research professional with a strong sense of initiative and a collaborative spirit. You thrive in real-world, community-based health research environments and are confident engaging with clinical stakeholders.
You will have:
- A degree in health, science, public health or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong skills in research coordination, data handling, and project administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience or understanding of Australian general practice or primary care (desirable)
- A current Victorian driver’s licence and willingness to travel
