The Opportunity
The Senior Graduate Research Coordinator role presents a unique opportunity for a driven individual to join a small, dynamic, high-performing team within the Faculty of Science Research Office at Monash University.
You will provide a range of complex administrative services to support the Faculty of Science graduate research strategies, programs and initiatives. You will act as a key liaison point to provide specialist services and advice on all matters relating to graduate research and will work closely with the Deputy Dean Engagement and Graduate Research, the Monash central research functions and school staff to provide an integrated high-quality student-centric service. You will have primary responsibilities for:

leading and coordinating the candidature assessment and scholarship selection, and the administration of the Faculty scholarships and awards, and candidature variations, on behalf of the Faculty of Science

coordinating graduate research course governance including joint award requirements and providing executive support to the Faculty Research Degrees Committee

providing comprehensive, accurate and timely reports on the Faculty graduate research activity and performance for strategic decision-making

planning and delivering specialised projects to support the Faculty graduate research agenda
As the successful candidate, you will have a tertiary degree in a relevant field with subsequent relevant experience in university research administration. You will have a strong ability to organise tasks with competing priorities and the ability to interact with, and gain cooperation from academic and professional staff.

This role is a part-time (0.4 FTE) fixed-term job-share arrangement until the end of October 2025. The successful candidate will need to be available to spread their 0.4 FTE working hours across Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays to support continuous service delivery for the full work week. The role is based at Clayton Campus; however, there are provisions for a hybrid working arrangement.
