The Opportunity
As the Faculty General Manager of the Faculty of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences, you will play a critical role in supporting the Dean in the strategic management of the Faculty. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of areas, including financial management, human resources, information technology, governance, research administration, and student matters. Managing a complex administrative structure across multiple campuses and collaborating with external partners, hospitals, and research institutes, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the Faculty's operations and contribute to its success.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead strategic planning, financial management, and governance to align with University goals
- Foster effective communication, collaboration, and consensus-building across the Faculty
- Manage complex administrative functions, including student planning, financials, and information technology
- Drive strategic improvement projects and change management initiatives
- Oversee budgeting, revenue distribution, and risk management
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with central administration
- Ensure efficient space allocation and facilities management
- Represent the Dean on committees and boards
About You
The ideal candidate for the Faculty General Manager position will possess a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, coupled with extensive executive management experience. They will demonstrate exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills, with a proven ability to manage large-scale operations and resources effectively. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are essential, along with expertise in business transformation and change management. The candidate should have a deep understanding of organizational dynamics within the higher education sector and a track record of inspiring staff, establishing strategic alliances, and driving faculty goals.
