The Opportunity

Join the Transfusion Research Unit as the Clinical Research Associate and play a vital role in advancing innovative research to enhance transfusion practices and patient outcomes. In this position, you will lead the successful execution of key projects, including managing the Thrombotic Microangiopathy (TMA) Registry across Australia and New Zealand, collaborating with the UK National Health Service on the REDDS 2 trial to evaluate transfusion strategies, and overseeing the MY-PROMPT-2 trial aimed at improving treatment for patients with relapsed multiple myeloma. This role is essential to the Transfusion Research Unit's mission, ensuring rigorous, high-quality research that addresses immediate clinical needs and fosters long-term advancements in transfusion medicine.

Responsibilities will encompass a wide range of critical tasks, from establishing and training hospital sites to ensuring data quality and preparing ethical and regulatory documentation. A high level of organisation and attention to detail is required, as you will coordinate core research activities, organise site and investigator meetings and maintain compliance with protocols and standards across multiple study locations. This position will also provide both strategic and operational support, guiding hospital partners and stakeholders to adhere to research protocols and deliver accurate, timely data that meets the rigorous standards of clinical research.

Ideal candidates will hold a degree in a relevant field or possess equivalent experience, with proven expertise in managing research programs, project planning and regulatory compliance. Strong capabilities in executing complex research initiatives, along with advanced project management and research administration skills, are also essential in this role. Prior clinical trial monitoring experience will also be highly regarded.
