The Opportunity
Take on a pivotal leadership role at Australia’s largest health faculty, renowned for its world-class education and research. As a Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor (Education-Focused) and Director of Education at the School of Translational Medicine (STM), you’ll drive educational innovation, curriculum development, quality improvement and new course development in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the School, while advancing the global healthcare agenda.
Elite Education-Focused Leadership: Education-focused staff at Monash are an elite group dedicated to advancing educational innovation and leading the design and delivery of programs across the University. As a Senior Lecturer/ Associate Professor (Education-Focused) and Director of Education, you will hold a special responsibility for leading and fostering excellence in education within the School, faculty and the broader community. This role encompasses leadership at local, national, or international levels, focusing on the continuous development, delivery, and quality assurance of the School's education portfolio, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional courses.
You will drive the development of new education offerings, including clinical and micro-credential programs, to meet the evolving needs of local and global learners. Your expertise in educational leadership, curriculum development, and cutting-edge pedagogy will be essential to maintaining and expanding the School’s educational reach.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership across undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education programs, including leading the School’s education teams.

Oversee curriculum design, course review, and governance of education programs.

Foster partnerships with industry and professional organizations to enhance educational outcomes.

Lead impactful educational research and secure funding to support innovative teaching practices.

Cultivate an academic culture of excellence, inspiring staff and students to achieve their best.
